Leycett Village Memorial
We need your support & your money.....
Leycett Memorial Trust is a new committee that has come together over the past months to raise funds in order to construct a memorial to Leycett Village.The memorial will be sited at the entrance to the Oldnewly Collieryplanned onentrance to the grassLeycett Cricket verge.Club.
In order for us to build this memorial we need Highway Authority and planning permission.Both of these permissions are very costly and can be in the region of £200£2000 before we even start to buy the materials for the memorial.
So far we have relied on donations and at present we have a good kitty building up,but as ever we need some support in raising a bit more.The money that was made on the remaining calenders from 2008 has also helped and all the proceeds from 2009 calenders which are now on sale at Leycett Cricket Club and direct from me will also be added to the memorial fund.
If you would like to make a donation or you have any ideas on small fund raising events such as tea mornings or jumble sales (or you have jumble you can donate) then please get in touch and we can work together on the organisation.Please remember this was your village aswell and it will be a proud moment when the memorial is unveiled so if you would like to be a part of that please get involved.

Any contributions of Leycett family photos would be much appreciated so that they can be added to our Leycett families page,all photos are returned within days undamaged,if you cannot send copies.Please see contacts page on details of how to send them,postage costs are all refunded.
