Colliery Farm House
This photo was taken circa 1960 once demolition had begun,from this photo you can see how the once fantastic farm house has been burnt out and then just left to crumble before finally being pulled down.Just another example of mindless actions by the people responsible for the demise of Leycett village.
In the background to the left you can see the remains of the colliery dirt tip.

Twem & Noon Thompson have many wonderful childhood memories of the Colliery Farm as their father Mr Thompson was the Colliery Farm Bailif for many years.They both recall taking his lunch to him and helping on the farm.
